Watermelon Paloma

How to Make A Watermelon Paloma

Prep time: 3 minutes

Serves: 1

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 2 oz fresh watermelon juice (blended and strained)
  • 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz agave syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  • Club soda to top
  • Tajín or salt for rim, watermelon wedge for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rim a highball glass with a lime wedge, then dip in Tajín or salt.
  2. Fill glass with ice.
  3. In a shaker with ice, combine tequila, watermelon juice, grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave, and salt. Shake 12 seconds.
  4. Strain into the prepared glass.
  5. Top with a splash of club soda. Garnish with a small watermelon wedge.

Notes

Watermelon juice: Blend seedless watermelon chunks and strain through a fine mesh. About 1 cup of chunks yields 2 oz juice.

Tajín rim adds a chili-lime kick that makes this drink.

Tip: A pinch of salt inside the drink (not just the rim) brightens all the fruit flavors.
