How to Make A Spiced Rum & Pumpkin Punch

Ingredients
- 1½ oz spiced rum (Sailor Jerry or Chairman’s Reserve)
- ½ oz dark rum
- 1 oz pumpkin spice syrup (see notes)
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 2 oz apple cider
- Ice
- Freshly grated nutmeg and cinnamon stick (garnish)
Instructions
- Combine both rums, pumpkin spice syrup, lemon juice, and apple cider in a shaker with ice.
- Shake well for 15 seconds.
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice, or serve in a punch cup.
- Grate fresh nutmeg over the top. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Notes
Pumpkin spice syrup: Whisk 2 tbsp pumpkin purée + 1 cup simple syrup + ½ tsp cinnamon + ¼ tsp ginger + ⅛ tsp cloves + ⅛ tsp nutmeg. Strain through a fine mesh. Keeps 1 week refrigerated.
Batch it: This scales beautifully for a party punch, multiply by 10, serve over a large ice block.
