How to Make An Elderflower Gin Fizz
Prep time: 3 minutes
Serves: 1
Ingredients
- 2 oz gin (a floral London Dry or cucumber gin works beautifully)
- ½ oz St-Germain elderflower liqueur
- ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz simple syrup
- 2 oz chilled club soda
- Ice
- Lemon wheel and edible flowers (garnish)
Instructions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add gin, St-Germain, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
- Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until well chilled.
- Strain into a chilled highball glass filled with fresh ice.
- Top with club soda and give a gentle stir to combine.
- Garnish with a lemon wheel and edible flowers if available.
Notes
Gin: A floral gin like Hendrick’s or Empress amplifies the elderflower notes. Sweetness: St-Germain is sweet on its own, taste before adding simple syrup and reduce if preferred.
Seasonal note: Elderflower blooms in late spring, making this the perfect porch-opening cocktail.
