How to Make A Cherry Blossom Sake Spritz

Ingredients
- 1.5 oz sake (chilled)
- ½ oz cherry blossom liqueur
- ¾ oz fresh grapefruit juice
- ¼ oz honey syrup
- 2 oz prosecco or sparkling wine
- Ice
- Edible cherry blossom and grapefruit wheel (garnish)
Instructions
- Fill a wine glass with ice.
- Pour in sake, cherry blossom liqueur, grapefruit juice, and honey syrup.
- Stir gently to combine.
- Top with prosecco and give a light stir.
- Garnish with an edible cherry blossom and a thin grapefruit wheel balanced on the rim.
Notes
Timing: Cherry blossoms are fleeting, so serve this cocktail when blossoms peak in your region, usually mid, to, late April.
Sake selection: Use a premium junmai or ginjo sake, it’s the star of this delicate cocktail.
Cherry blossom liqueur: Brands like Briottet or Luxardo make beautiful versions; a little goes a long way.
