The Garden Ginger Press Mocktail
This drink pairs the crispness of fresh cucumber with the sharp bite of ginger and a hint of herbal sweetness. It is complex enough to feel like a craft cocktail without any of the alcohol.
Ingredients
- 4 thick slices of English cucumber
- 5 fresh mint leaves
- 0.75 ounce fresh lime juice
- 0.5 ounce rosemary simple syrup
- 3 ounces premium ginger beer
- Ice
Instructions
- Garnish the rim with a fresh sprig of rosemary or a thin cucumber ribbon.
- Muddle the cucumber slices and mint leaves in the bottom of a cocktail shaker until the cucumber is thoroughly smashed and juicy.
- Pour in the fresh lime juice and rosemary simple syrup.
- Fill the shaker with ice, cap it, and shake vigorously for about ten seconds until completely chilled.
- Strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer into a tall glass filled with fresh ice to remove any small bits of mint or cucumber.
- Top the glass with the ginger beer and give it a gentle stir to combine the layers.
