How to Make A Watermelon Paloma
Prep time: 3 minutes
Serves: 1
Ingredients
- 2 oz blanco tequila
- 2 oz fresh watermelon juice (blended and strained)
- 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- ½ oz fresh lime juice
- ½ oz agave syrup
- Pinch of salt
- Club soda to top
- Tajín or salt for rim, watermelon wedge for garnish
Instructions
- Rim a highball glass with a lime wedge, then dip in Tajín or salt.
- Fill glass with ice.
- In a shaker with ice, combine tequila, watermelon juice, grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave, and salt. Shake 12 seconds.
- Strain into the prepared glass.
- Top with a splash of club soda. Garnish with a small watermelon wedge.
Notes
Watermelon juice: Blend seedless watermelon chunks and strain through a fine mesh. About 1 cup of chunks yields 2 oz juice.
Tajín rim adds a chili-lime kick that makes this drink.
Tip: A pinch of salt inside the drink (not just the rim) brightens all the fruit flavors.
